Another Team Meeting

Hello to Everyone who reads this lovely blog.

I still have three months till i leave for Brazil, but I feel like it is going to approach really fast. We had a meeting on Saturday to go over/learn our parts for the Redeemer Skit. Now, if you haven't seen or do not know what I mean, check out my blog part below or above that shows you how to watch it on YouTube. I will be playing the part of "partier", which if you have seen the skit, I open beers and party in front of Man. The part is so much more than I can describe on this little sentences. Please check out the clip to really get a glimpse into what we are going to be doing in Brazil. Since I have been watching a DVD of the skit and did the Saturday learning, I still feel like I need some practice. So, please pray for me.

Praises go out for the money that I have already been given. I am not that far away from my goal!!!

The Brazil team had a meeting on Sunday and we were told the flight times and when to be at the airport. Since my notebook is downstairs, I will post the times and dates later. But I would like you to pray about is that it is going to be an eleven hour flight. It's overnight, but me have being in the air only three hours to Guatemala, it's different.

Everyone in the group was asked to give their testimony and it was my turn last Sunday. I shared what was on my heart and I pray that we can become closer as a group with knowing what everyone has shared.

Prayer Request:
1. For money to come in for me and my other team members
2. I am going to get my vaccines (yellow fever and typhoid) at the beginning of April, during my spring break. Please pray that for calmness.
3. That i will take the time to look over my part in the Redeemer Skit, but not only that, but to have time with the Lord each day to pour my heart out to him.
4. My sister did a half marathon two years ago and I promised myself that if she ever did it again, that I would be not on the sidelines but with her. I have been doing long jogs on Saturday mornings and have been trying to get to the gym alot during the week. The half marathon is at the end of April and I believe that this is the first time in my life that i am doing something for myself and no one else. Please lift up my training time and that I will continue to see how wonderful it's going to be to cross that finish line.

Thank you all who have been reading this and commenting. I love comments.

I only need $231

Hello Everyone!!

I had my latest Brazil Team meeting where we watched others from my church perform The Redeemer skit. I got so teary-eyed just watching it and knowing that I will be able to touch the lives of others in Brazil. We are supposed to think of which part we would like to play, which I would like to play any of the temptations. If you haven't seen The Redeemer before, you can check it out on YouTube. Here's the link

I have a huge praise to tell everyone about. Because of the outpouring of donations, I now have raised $2169. Which means I only need $231 until I reach my goal!! Words can not express my gratitude to all of you have helped me with my Brazil trip!!!

Prayer Needs:
1. Immunizations: (I don't want to get the needed shots and am praying for my anxiety to go away about it.)
2. That the group will become closer, even more than we already have.
3. The people of Brazil that we are going to come into contact with.
4. Satan has already begun to try to influence and bring anxiety to out team. Please pray that we will stay strong and cling to the Lord during our preparation time.

Brazil Information

Hey, I thought that some of you would like some more information on what I will be doing in Brazil, who the group will be working with ( a family named Bruno and Camila Costa) and what there organization (The Open Air Campaigners) that they work for looks like. Below is the address where you can see what the Costa's and others are doing to spread the gospel in the unique way of street ministry.

Brazil Nuts

Well, here is the names of my wonderful team. Please pray for our team b/c we are going to really need it. From money coming in, sickness to not be an issue, to people getting passports on time, it would do us well to be covered in prayer.

Matt Browne: team leader
Lizzy and Tim Spainhour (husband and wife)
Elizabeth Blackburn
Bryan and Brandon Autry (father and son)
Carolyn Compton
and of course me!!

Praise! I now have raised $1774 from my needed $2500 total amount due for the trip. How wonderful that I prayed about being worryed about funds, and it is only early February and look what has come in already.

Also, we are now ordering tickets, so it's for sure that I am going to Brazil at the beginning of the summer!!

My Unkymood Punkymood (Unkymoods)

Words can not express

Words can not express how thankful I am for many people's support. I sent out my asking for donations letter a little before Christmas. I always am hesitant to send out the letter and just pray over them before they are sent. What the amazing thing is, as of early January, I have raised $1600 dollars. Praise God! The goal for the trip is $2500 and I am already more than halfway there. At one of our first Brazil team meetings, I asked for prayer that I would not worry about the money coming in, and even now all I can be is thankful for those who have given away there hard earned money in order for me to go on this adventure with God.

Thank you!
